There is a quote on promises in this article which I found highly true.
It is by Jim Webb, a British who loaned 5 quid to a moneyless Australian while both were travelling in Belgium in 1969. Webb was repaid last Sunday and he said,
"In this day and age promises are made and promises are broken and you lose your faith in human nature"
Absolutely beautiful.
My version would be something like this,
"In our world today, promises are made easily - they are broken just as easily too".
